WIDE SPECTRUM DISINFECTANT FOR LABORATORY USE
SKIN AND WOUND ANTISEPTIC

Description:

Stabi-Med is a wide spectrum strong disinfectant with combined bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal properties, which are based on the action of quaternary ammonium compounds, glutaraldehyde and alcohol. Its surfactant properties ensure in depth action.

The biological composition of the product is based on pressed olive biomass combined with cationic surfactant compounds of quaternary ammonium as well as alcohol and glutaraldehyde. It contains aromatic and other miscellaneous synergistic agents (European patent applies).

It is particularly suited for use as disinfectant in microbiological laboratories, veterinary clinics and hospitals and as antiseptic for laboratory staff.

Key properties:

Wide spectrum disinfectant and skin/wounds antiseptic, deodorant, harmless to man and animals, biodegradable.

Characteristics:

Lightly pink liquid with mild pleasant odour and neutral pH.

Indications:

Stabi-Med undiluted, or at 10% (1:10) dilution with water, kills within 5 minutes of exposure Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria, such as: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Listeria spp., Salmonella spp., Escherichia spp., Pseudomonas spp., Vibrio spp., Flexibacter spp., Aeromonas spp., Yersinia spp., Pasteurella spp., etc., as well as fungi, such as: Aspergillus spp., Cladosporium spp., Candida spp., etc. and viruses, such as: VHSV, IPNV, Rotavirus, Coronavirus, etc.

Applications:

Undiluted, or subsequent to dilution with fresh water, Stabi-Med may be applied by immersion, sponging or spraying. Recommended uses comprise disinfection of surfaces and implements in laboratories and clinics. As a skin and wound antiseptic, it is applied undiluted replacing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. It does not cause any pain to skin abrasions or open wounds. It deodorises hands.

Undiluted or at 10% dilution (1:10 or 100ml/lt.)

Advantages:

It is stable and is not oxidised when in contact with air. Its surfactant properties allow in depth action. It is non-irritant and safe for use on any material. It does not cause pain when applied on wounds; deodorant.

Safe and friendly for the environment. Bio-degradable.

Precautions (for the operators):

Virtually none. It is harmless for the skin, eyes or mucous membranes. Washes off easily with water.

Keep away from children.

Storage and packing:

Available in 1lt. plastic bottles as well as 250ml spray vials for direct applications. May be stored for 3 years post manufacturing date under room conditions.

Close containers firmly after use.
