Ceratothoa oestroides pulli II larvae seen on the pharyngeal teeth and among the gill lamellae of a sea bass. Gill inflammation and focal necrosis of the epithelium is evident. The operculum has been removed to facilitate observation. |

Adult isopods attached in the buccal cavity of sea bass cause slackening of the
underlying tissues resulting in the "bag-shape" of the lower jaw. |
The gills of sea bass are inflamed
with necrotic areas due to the action of pulli II
larvae. |

on the head of sea bass fry suffering attacks by Ceratothoa
oestroides pulli II
larvae. |
