ACTIVITY PROFILE
VetCare Ô has
been active in Greece since 1993 in order to provide expert veterinary services
and specialised products in the domain of farmed fish health management
comprising farm hygiene, fish disease prevention, diagnosis and cure.
Operations are
conducted from the base in Athens where apart from the offices, a fish disease
diagnostic laboratory as well as the product storage and distribution facilities
are maintained in close distance.
VetCare Ô
co-operates with biotechnology firms, research laboratories and specialised
manufacturers at home and abroad. Such ties with research Institutions and the
industry help to keep abreast of developments in fish pathology, disease
diagnosis and prevention as well as to identify and source the most suitable
products and equipment useful to the Mediterranean aquaculture industry.
Thus, VetCare Ô has
become a major distributor of fish vaccines, vaccination equipment, rapid
diagnostic kits, nutritional supplements (neutraceuticals, vitamins,
immuno-enhancers), anaesthetics, therapeutics and disinfectants.
VetCare Ô
envisages a sustainable and profitable aquaculture industry in the
Mediterranean, hence, is dedicated to fish disease prevention and control,
farmed fish welfare and the overall quality and environmental compatibility of
farming processes and products.
